The St. James area softball team dropped a tough one at home to the Fairmont Cardinals on Thursday night, bringing their record to 2-4 on the year.

After going down 9-1 after the top of the third inning, the Saints offense turned on, scoring five total runs in the third and fourth, in large part to a three run home run by Shania Hansen.  The raly fell short however, and the Cardinals scored six additional runs in the seventh to put the game away, 15-6.

The Saints softball team will look to rebound when they travel to Blue Earth on Monday night.
