By completing a smoke-free unit, 63 first-graders at Northside Elementary pledged to be the Smoke-Free Class of 2025, and each child received a Smoke-Free Class of 2025 T-shirt.

The T-shirts were funded through Northside activities fundraisers, like Ink Jet Cartridges, Box Tops for Education, Paul's Foodpride receipts, Kemps and Land O Lakes milk caps, and Campbell Soup can labels, said Roxanne Romsdahl, a first-grade teacher. The white shirts read “Smoke-Free Class of 2015: Clean air for kids and growing things.”
