A's Lose on the Road, to Play Last Home Game Wednesday Night

On Sunday, the A’s played a game at Springfield and lost a nail biter in extra innings, 2-1.  Pitcher Sam Carlson went the whole way, pitching 10 innings, and only gave up an earned run and five hits, while striking out 10.

Carlson also had a great day at the plate, going 3-4.  Zach Gleiter, Nate Ewert, Austin Pinke, and Joe Hager all got hits for St. James, but unfortunately the team wasn’t able to capitalize in the loss.

The final A's home game of the year is tonight, July 16, against Essig.
