  • During their monthly meeting Monday, the St. James School Board set food prices and activity admission fees for the 2014-2015 school year.
There are no changes from last year for the fees. It remains $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Food prices are going up, however, by a dime in most cases. A student full-pay breakfast will be up from $1.50 to $1.60, and an adult breakfast goes from $2.30 to $2.40. Student full-pay lunch at Northside is $2.20 from $2.10, and it goes from $2.20 to $2.30 at the high school. The adult price for lunch moves from $3.45 to $3.55, but the price of milk per one-half carton rises only a nickel--from 45 to 50 cents.
“These prices are pretty comparable to all the districts around us,” District 840 Superintendent Becky Cselovszki said. “We’re not high or low; we’re right in the middle.”
