  • Lonesome Ron to perform at St. James Bloc Party

  • The St. James Bloc Party takes place annually and offers an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the summer weather. In the past, the bloc party has included a bounce house, games and balloons for kids, as well as a wide array of food and treats.

  • The St. James Bloc Party will be Thursday evening at Memorial Park and will feature live music by country artist Lonesome Ron, King of the Valley Yodelers.  Food services start at 5:30 and music will begin a little after 6 p.m. 
    Out to promote his most recent work, “Songs of the American Cattle Trails,” the Mankato native will be showcasing  old-time cowboy songs.  Lonesome Ron’s album is made up of his favorite cowboy ballads and some original tunes.
    Doug Becken and his guitar students will also take the stage on Thursday at the Memorial Park band shell.
    Ice cream and beverages will be available by “Lets Go Fishing.”
