Area beans and corn are looking good!

    “IF” ...... that’s a big word if you farm for a living. If it’s not too dry, too wet, too hot, too cold, too windy, if it doesn’t hail, and if it doesn’t freeze too soon. If all these things come together in just the right combination, as it appears right now, throughout most of Watonwan County the bean and corn harvest should be not just good, but fantastic!
    Driving down CSAH 27 you can see the corn is pretty well tassled and the ears are filling out nicely. The beans look healthy and if (there’s that word again) August provides the right amount of moisture, the carts should be full to overflowing come harvest season.
