The North Star District of the Twin Valley Boy Scout Council held the annual Klondike Derby at Cedar Point Boy Scout Camp south of Fairmont on Saturday, February 11. Over 85 Scouts and leaders attended. It was a cold day for outside activities but the cold weather also allowed the Scouts to participate in events on the lake such as ice fishing and broom ball. Other events included snow golf, Geocaching, fire safety merit badge, firearm safety/shooting and disc golf.
Hosting Boy Scout Troop 20 from St. James would like to thank all of the Scout leaders who volunteered to help conduct the events throughout the day. A special thanks to Butterfield Foods (Butterfield) and Armor Eckrich (St. James) for donating food for lunch.
