The Watonwan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 and finalized re-organization for the 2010 year. A final copy of Committee appointments was attached to the regular minutes and agenda.

Precinct caucuses were held Tuesday evening so City Council members got right down to business at the Feb. 2nd meeting. Mayor Sturm called the council together at 5:03 and after approving minutes and consent items moved quickly to new business.

Linda Hackett and Mary Wright are unemployed and were looking for ways they could be involved in doing volunteer work. Along came the devastating earthquake in Haiti over two weeks ago. Hackett and Wright made a phone call to Kids Against Hunger in Mankato.

The St. James Ambulance Service has been serving the public for 35+ years. Last August 2009 something happened aboard one of their ambulances that had never occurred before - a baby was delivered while in route from St. James to Mankato.
