As previously reported, is experiencing technical difficulties with their Minnesota Eligibility Technology System. This faulty computer system, otherwise known as METS, is causing a delay in processing essential client health insurance papers. In an attempt to resolve this statewide issue, Hennepin County hosted a meeting on September 28th. Over 60 people from IMB, DHS, MNIT, and 15 other counties were in attendance. The meeting helped demonstrate the extent of manual work, workarounds, and specific rules that workers have to deal with every day.

Hennepin Senior Human Resources Representative Joe Nguyen provided a demonstration of both the renewal process and case reentry. In addition to Nguyen's contribution, Hennepin Human Services Supervisor Bobbie-Jean Nowak added context and data to demonstrate the burden on county workers.
