It has been a very difficult season to say the least for St. James Lady Saints. Still winless on the season, a major bright spot occurred during the team's recent game against Luverne. After a back and forth affair in the first half, the Lady Saints of St. James took a 26-21 lead into the halftime locker room. It was the first time all season that the Saints were able to claim a lead that late into a ball game.
Making things even more exciting was the fact that this first half performance took place during the Coaches Versus Cancer Tournament. In front of a packed house at the St. James gymnasium, head coach Spencer Monson believes that the electricity in the arena got his team fired up for the opening tip.
