At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the St. James City Council met for the regularly scheduled meeting.

The first item on the agenda is approving a vending wagon permit. Oscar Piceno is looking to have a 12 foot food truck sell Mexican food on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The truck will be located in the City Park parking lot by the VFW and Family Dollar. The council approved Piceno’s request for a vending wagon permit.

The city website is also going to get an overhaul. This issue had come up with the council before, but since it was not a budgeted item the council turned it down. This time they were able to find budgeted items that would fit with the city website upgrade. This upgrade will cost around $6,000 if done by the end of the month of March. If they were to wait the cost could be upwards of $20,000.
