The Sting tennis team had a tremendous challenge, facing their rival, Pipestone. deep in “enemy territory”. Pipestone won all three doubles matches. Cody Zimmer and Nick Schindele were able to win the second set of their match, otherwise Pipestone won all the other doubles sets. On the singles side, Matthew Virnig won his match 6-1, 6-4. Cody Speh froze Jackson Winter, 6-1, 6-1. Ammon Bennett beat Cade Bartman, tieing up the overall team scores 3-3. It came down to Noah Lusti vs Riley Langstret. Noah lost his first match 0-6, which could cause some people to want to give up. Lusti stuck it out and fought back, winning the second set 6-2. In the final set, Lusti continued to outplay his opponent and ended up winning 6-3, giving YME an overall team score of 4-3 over Pipestone.
