It was a slow day for county government after a festive 4th of July. Due to the 4th of July holiday the normally scheduled Watonwan county board meeting took place a day later on Wednesday July 5th. The board started off the meeting with approving the minutes from the previous meeting with a vote of 5 to 0. After the board approved the bills which needed to be paid by the county with a vote of 5-0. Also, being voted on was recommendations for approval of hirings, and acceptance of resignations, which were all approved with a vote of 5-0. The board also, approved licensing for the anticipated county fair that is coming quickly, which was approved with a 5-0 vote.
