The graduating class of 1944 met for the 73rd year on July 19th, and the 10 classmates enjoyed morning snacks like coffee, and cookies while enjoying eachother’s company and catching up on events, and a lunch at noon.

After snacks and coffee, Pam Sandbo of the St James Historical Society presented a collection of newsclippings and photographs of the classmates through the years. The presentation had photos from previous class reunions, and school events from 1944 that the classmates were a part of, as well as photos of the businesses and churches from the ‘40s, reminding those in attendance what St. James used to look like. The 10 classmates attending were joined by 3 of their spouses and 3 guest visitors. Present at the reunion were Mildred Besel, Eldon and Goldie Kintzi, Gladys and Les Lewis, Rhoda Olson, Margaret Anderson, Janice Jenson, and Leona Shellum. Organizer Nord Osland was unable to attend, but the classmates are thankful for his work in organizing the reunions over the years. The reunion class remembers classmates Rank Bridges, Herbert Engelbrecht, and Linnea Johnson Ellanson, who passed away this year.
