With a tease of fall weather, the city of St. James held their annual bloc party on Thursday, August 3 at the Memorial Park Shelter. With the fear by some of construction impeding the event or parking there was no signs of construction at all. The parking lots were clear and there was plenty of parking for everyone in attendance.

There was entertainment on hand for people of all age groups. Some of the different events included kids face painting, and a fire truck ride. For the adults, they got a chance to listen to local band “Attitude” who have been playing together for different local events for many years.

Also during the bloc party was food for a free will donation. Bloc Party goers got to enjoy a variety of different food. Cooking on the grill was members of the St. James Fire Department which

included hotdogs and hamburgers. Also being served was chips and beans topped off with icecream sundaes which was served by Convivencia Hispana was there serving ice- cream.
