The Watonwan County Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths held their monthly meeting on Monday, August 28th at the Madelia Fire Hall.

With the upcoming Roundabout Rodeo in St. James, one of the first things that was discussed was what TZD would do for the event. Some of the different things that TZD will be doing during the Roundabout Rodeo is teaching people how to cross the road with the new roundabouts, giving out pamphlets about distracted driving, and let- ting people use a distract- ed driving probability wheel. The wheel will show you the different probability percentages of you getting into a car accident based on the number of distractions in your car at the time. TZD members faces were in disbelief as they saw the large percentages of prob- ability for crashes based on distractions. The TZD hopes that this will be a tool during the Roundabout Rodeo that will help get their message out there.

One of the main things that was discussed during the meeting was the painting of seat belt murals in parking lots in St. James. These murals are slated to be painted in the parking lots of Tony Downs Foods, All Washed Up Car Wash, St. James Liquor Store, Pioneer Bank, and CCF Bank.
