The St. James Girls Tennis team faced off at home against Waseca last week. During the match The Lady Saints were nothing short of dominant.
In the #1 singles match Junior Renata Hernandez was able to pull off the match. In the #2 doubles Alexis Baurgarn from Waseca was victorious along with Emily Hilderbrant from Waseca in match #3 who were the only two scorers for their team. 8th grader
Jaelyn Haler was the other scorer in single matches as she won the #4 singles. While on the singles side it was tight- ly contested with a 2 to 2 split in points on the doubles side St. James Area was nothing short of dominant. In the #1 doubles match the team of junior Hannah Loewen and freshman Ellie Becker were able to win in two sets. In the #2 doubles senior Abby Bright and junior Miranda Tetzloff were able to win in two sets wining set one 6-2 and set two 6-3. In the third doubles match the team of freshman Gabby Trapero and sophomore Noel Westcott were able to secure the win for the Lady Saints as they would go on to win with a score of 5-2.
