Pastor Maggie Cumings was a major supporter of the St. James Community ED ever since becoming the pastor at First Lutheran Church in St. James.

Because of this, it was decided shortly after hearing the devastating news about Pastor Maggie Community ED decided that they would build a memorial garden in front of the Armstrong building to honor her. Pastor Maggie’s involvement with Community ED included playing major roles in different productions, serving on the Community ED Board and her children being apart of the child care program. The design for the memorial garden has not been decided.

The design will be decided based on how much money has been raised and also by the Cumings family who will play a key role in the design of it. So far $1200 has been raised and donations for the memorial garden will be accepted small or large until the Spring time once the design is decided on. The memorial garden will also be built by local people.
