The City of St. James put out the following news release today encouraging residents to call the Governors Office and not veto a bill that would help the City.

The Plaindealer will provide an updated story once the bill is signed or not.

The MN House and Senate passed a bonding bill recently, which includes $3 Million dollars for the expansion of the storm water project that will begin in St. James this year. The scope of the project starts at Weston/Armstrong Blvd. and heads West until 2nd St. Then South to 4th Ave. The Governor’s clock is ticking, having 14 days from this past Sunday to sign it.

The Coalition of Greater MN Cities is asking people to contact the Governor’s office to sign the Bonding Bill. He’s considering a veto. Please call the Governor’s office at 1-800-657-3717 and encourage him to sign the Bonding Bill. Also, feel free to tell others to call the Governor’s office as well. Thank you for your time, and thank you in advance for your assistance on this matter!
