Watonwan County Attorney Stephen Lindee said Monday he won’t be pursuing any criminal charges against Butterfield Foods; the food processing plant was the target of an undercover investigation by the Humane Society of the United States for a two-month-period in late 2014, and the Humane Society gathered evidence suggesting that the company inhumanly slaughtered spent hens on a daily basis.
