Dylan Thomas Thompson, facing theft charges in connection with a cattle theft earlier this month, had his rule 8 hearing March 17 in the Watonwan County Courthouse, and his attorney, Dan Birkholz, petitioned the court to release his client without paying bond but with agreement to being closely monitored; the request was denied by Judge Greg Anderson.
