Jon Huntsman withdraws from GOP presidential race

Jon Huntsman dropped out of the Republican race for president on Monday morning, and he offered his endorsement to Mitt Romney. Hunstman, a former governor of Utah and former ambassador to China, finished third in the New Hampshire primaries and was expected to stay in the race for the South Carolina vote. However, polling in the state found only about 1 percent support. Announcing the end of his campaign, Huntsman said, "Our campaign for the presidency ends, but our campaign for a (better) American continues."
