Jack Anton Paul died unexpectedly at his home in Madelia on April 8, 2018. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 12th from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Eagles Club in St James. Interment will be at a later date.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1935 to Leslie L. and Genevieve (Wolner) Paul in Butterfield. He grew up and lived in the St James and Madelia area throughout his entire life. He was a proud military veteran serving in the National Guard and US Army. During his military career he was stationed in Korea and Germany. He was a lifetime member of the St James American Legion and VFW. He married and later divorced Lois Hensch. Together they had three children. Alan (Trudy) Paul, Terrell, Tex, Steven (Karen) Paul, Carrollton, Tex, and Melissa (Erik) Eckblad, Rockwall Tex.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren Chelsea, Christopher, Zachary, Brittany, Amber, Marisah, Regan, Rihanna and Caleb. Brother Dick (Marian) Paul, St James. Sisters Dorothy Hoeft, Worthington, Gloria Smith, Sioux City, Iowa, Dianne (Art) Meyenburg, Jackson, and Peggy (Mike) Wiese, North Mankato, and several nieces and nephews as well as special family friends Joyce Wendel Shaw and Roxi Olszanowski and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: David and Kenneth; sister Eileen, brothers-in-laws: Clair Hoeft and A.A. Smith, and longtime companion Rosemary Wendel. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
