Konner Bloomquist, 21 of Comfrey, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Mayo Hospital in Mankato. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James and will continue on Thursday from 9:30 a.m., until 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, on Thursday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Pastor John Bennett. Interment will be at the Trinity Fjelden Lutheran Cemetery. Konner Bloomquist was born May 2, 1997, in Fairmont, to Kyle and Audria Bloomquist . He attended Truman High School and was currently working for Bargen's Construction in Mountain Lake. Konner enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking. He especially loved animals and the outdoors.
He is survived by father, Kyle Bloomquist of Truman, mother Audria Light and special friend, Darren Kunkel of Comfrey, sister Kaitlin (Trevor) Wiederhoeft and their children Summar and Scarlett of Truman, girlfriend Sara LaRow of Winnebago, brother Alex Light of Kingsport, Tenn, grandparents: Gladys Cruz of Williamsburg, Va., Ron (Sheila) Bloomquist of Taunton, great-grandmother June Light of Kingsport, Tenn, aunts, uncles, cousins, Taya DeRycke of Pipestone, many friends and dog Boosie. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Fred Light, Sr., Verona Tonn, Vincent and Barbara Baker; grandmother Pamela Light, aunt Denise Bloomquist and Kyle's special friend Cindy Hubers DeRycke.
