Kenneth Lee Bishop of St. James, Mo., passed away on June 21, 2018 at the Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was 68 years, 7 months and 12 days of age. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m., on July 7, at the St. James VFW Hall Post 5608 in St. James, Mo. Full Military Honors will be provided by St. James V.F.W. Memorials may be made to the St. James V.F.W Hall Post 5608.
Kenneth Lee Bishop was born on Nov. 9,1949 to his parents, Shannon and Norma Lulu (Wassman) Bishop in St. James, Minnesota. Kenneth Bishop was united in marriage to Melanie R. Prebianca on June 27, 1998 in St. James, Mo. Kenneth Bishop was a stranger to no one. He was a very generous man. He loved his family and loved to help people of all ages. He loved his grandchildren and his family very much. Ken was a building contractor and enjoyed remolding homes. Ken was always glad to help people who were in need. He never met a stranger and had a very giving heart. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force as a Fuel Systems Technician from 1968 through 1981. Kenneth will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Melanie (Prebianca) Bishop of St. James, Mo.; four sons: Kristopher Bishop and wife Jamie of St. Louis, Mo., Brandon Bishop also of St. Louis, Zachary Krewinghaus of St. James, Mo; and Chaz Krewinghaus and friend Robin McDonald of St. James, Mo; brothers: Arnold Bishop and wife Marilyn of Minnesota; James Bishop and wife Sandy of Kentucky; sisters: Ardis Leimer and husband Leon of Minnesota; Beverly Fredin of Minnesota; mother-in-law: Donna Prebianca of St. James, along with grandchildren: Katherine, Kaleb, Abigail, Olivia, Althea, Samuel, Orin, Forest, Tommy and Kaysn. Preceding Kenneth in death are his parents: Shannon Bishop 1977; Norma Lulu Wassman Bishop in 1976; father-in-law: Gene Prebianca 2001; brothers: Dwayne Bishop 1993; David Bishop, 1947; John Bishop, 2015; and Robert Bishop, 1981; sister: Lois Sellner, 2010 brother-in-law: Roger Sellner 2010 and Paul Fredin.
