Jerry Lee Peters, 73, of Dunnell, Minnesota was called to his eternal rest on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his home in Dunnell, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Sherburn. Burial will be in the Lake Fremont Cemetery, rural Dunnell, with full military honors by the Estherville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3388 and the Estherville American Legion Post #91. Jerry was born on July 17, 1944 to William and Evalyn (Davis) Peters in St. James. He attended school in St. James until he was drafted in the United States Army serving until his honorable discharge after receiving three Purple Hearts. Jerry was employed as a truck driver and was employed for Joe and Dave Morris in Sherburn, Erickson Truck in Jackson and the Kahlers until his retirement. On Feb. 21, 1979, he was united in marriage to Faye (Walters) Swenson at Jackson. After their marriage they lived in Dunnell. Jerry enjoyed riding his bike around Dunnell and could be found working with wood at his home.

He is survived by his children: Ronald Swenson of Temple, Tex., James Swenson (Thomas Smith) of Las Vegas, Nev., Keeha Anderson of Sherburn, Velda (Gary) Roush of rural Mountain Lake, Jennifer West of Henderson, Nev.; daughter-in-law, Barb Swenson of Dunnell; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; mother, Evalyn Peters of St. James; brothers: Dennis Peters of St. James, Dale (Deb) Peters of Winthrop, Arnie (Diane) Peters of St. James and Billy Peters Jr. of St. James; sister, Alice (Bert) Schwager of Sherburn; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, William Peters; wife, Faye on October 17, 2016; sons: Wayne Swenson and Terry Swenson; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Swenson and other relatives.
