Karla Jo Wolle, 55, of New Ulm passed away peacefully August 4th, 2018 at her home.

Karla Jo Wolle, 55, of New Ulm passed away peacefully August 4th, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be on Friday, August 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in St. James. Service will be held at the First Lutheran Church in St. James, on Friday, August 10, at 11 am. The clergy will be Pastor Andy Hermodson-Olsen. Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Karla was born Sept. 25, 1962 in St. James. She graduated from St. James High School in 1981, continuing to earn an Associate Degree in Human Services from Rochester Community College. On July 31, 1982, Karla married John Nelson. This union blessed them with three children they raised together for 21 years. Karla and John owned the grocery store John’s Jack and Jill in Sherburn, for two years. She continued to work and excel in restaurant management for Burger King in Eau Claire, Wis., for 25 years. In 2010, Karla moved to New Ulm and bought her home to be closer to family. Karla was known for her big heart and loving demeanor. She enjoyed being outdoors spending time camping, gardening, and taking walks. Nothing gave her more joy than hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for her family.

Karla is survived by her children; Nathan (Adriane) Nelson, Matthew (Rachel) Nelson, Alissa (Daniel) McCarty; grandchildren: Rowan, Aveline, Gaius,Thaloden, Hadrian, Windom, Shaden, Mika; Father, Clifford Wolle; Mother, Eldora Wolle; brothers: Brian (Laurie) Wolle, Brad Wolle; sisters: Kris Wolle, Kelly Curry and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
