Beverly Annette Seemann, 83 of New Ulm died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2018 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 19, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Timothy Smith will officiate, and burial will take place in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Courtland. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct 19, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Beverly Annette Seemann was born on Aug. 20, 1935 in New Ulm to Harry and Esther (Schwecke) Seemann. She was a 1953 graduate from the Nicollet High School. Beverly attended beauty school in Minneapolis and later gained nursing training in Springfield and Willmar. Early in life, Beverly worked as a beautician, but later used her nursing training to work as a Home Health Aid for the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Lake. Beverly was always an active member of her community and church. She served as the first woman City Council member of Butterfield and the Butterfield VFW Auxiliary Treasurer. As an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Butterfield, she also served on the church council for many years. For enjoyment, Beverly found pleasure in reading, playing cards with friends, listening to music, and traveling.

Beverly is survived by her sisters: Elaine Trenor of Houston, Miss., LaDonna Clary of Omaha, Nebr; her nieces and nephews: Gaylin and Arlene Laabs of Coon Rapids, Gene and Linda Laabs of Aberdeen, Miss., Genell Laabs of Bloomington, Nan and Bruce Coleman of Eau Claire, Wis., and Michelle Amen of Memphis, Tenn. She also leaves behind a close fellowship and host of friends in Butterfield. Beverly will be dearly missed by all who knew her best. Blessed be her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Shirley Laabs.
