Services were held at Windom Evangelical Free Church on Friday, August 6 for Michelle “Anderson” Duncan with Pastor Pat Thomas of Rochester, MN officiating. Music was provided by vocalists Steve and Jeannie Sollie of Lakeville, MN and Pat Fisher of Windom, pianist. Interment was held in rural Trimont at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
On Sunday evening, August 1, 2010, Michelle died suddenly at the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Michelle Marlene Anderson was born on April 24, 1970 to Robert R. and Marlene (Ziebarth) Anderson in Rochester, Minnesota. She lived with her family in rural St. James until 1973 when they moved to a farm in Cedar Township, rural Trimont.
Michelle attended Trimont School and was part of the final class to graduate from Trimont High School in 1988. She received her BA degree in Music Business from Trevecca Nazerene University in Nashville, Tennessee. While at TNU she was a member of the volleyball team and accompanist for her college choir.
After graduation she was employed at Southern Baptist Sunday School Board and Group Source Travel Agency. She traveled on weekends with a youth ministry team and was active in church ministry, playing the piano.
On November 21, 1999 she was united in marriage to Greg Duncan in Nashville, Tennessee. She was employed in Nashville until ill health caused her to return to Minnesota to receive medical care.
Michelle will be greatly missed by her parents, Bob and Marlene Anderson of rural Trimont, Minnesota; sister, Julee (Jonathan) Scarfpin and their children, Seth and Ava of rural Trimont, Minnesota.
