    Bertha Wolters, 87, of St. James died on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the St. James Medical Center in St. James.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Assembly of God Church with Pastor Judy Stillwell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James and will continue for one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
    Bertha Loretta Dubois was born on October 21, 1922 in Dunseith, North Dakota. She married Gordon Wolter and they later divorced. She graduated nursing school in 1972 and worked as an LPN at Mankato House for many years and the Good Samaritan Center prior to her retirement.
    Bertha loved going to the casino, crossword puzzles, stitching, her cat and dog and spending time with her family, grandkids and great-grandkids.
    Survivors include her children, Gordy (Janelle) Wolters of Mankato, MN, Clete Wolters of St. James, MN, Rodney (Cindy) Wolters of St. James, MN, Steve (Mary Lou) Wolters of Madison Lake, MN, Jerry (Pam) Wolters of Lake Crystal, MN, David (Shawn) Wolters of Mankato, MN, Doug (Rhonda) Wolters of Mankato, MN, Shelly (Dan) Miller of St. James, MN, Brian Wolters of St. James, MN and Donald Wolters of Mankato, MN; son-in-law, Swede Paulson of St. James, MN; sisters, Katherine Raule of Genevia, IL and  Minne Milbrath of Elysian, MN; 40 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
    Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; five brothers; daughter, Bonnie Paulson; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.
