Terrance Tierney, 23, of rural Odin died on Saturday morning, July 10, 2010 in a two vehicle accident in Fox Lake Township, Martin County, rural Welcome.
A celebration of life services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin, with Pastor Carla Reierson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park in Fairmont.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and will continue for one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
Terrance John Tierney was born on June 13, 1987 to John and Debra (Diekmann) Tierney in St. James, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Butterfield. He received his education in St. James and Butterfield Schools. He was in a foster home with Larry and Diane Dannen of rural St. James for four years. He then was employed at Christensen Farms.
Terrance’s family was very important to him especially his little daughter, Tessa. He assisted his Grandpa Donny with his ponies and wagon in many of local parades and it will carry him to his final resting place in Fairview Memorial Park. He enjoyed fishing and horses and was his Grandpa Donny’s Monkey Shine.
Survivors include his fiancee, Brittni Gleason of Fairmont, MN; his daughter, Tessa and son, Logan; mother, Debra (Keith) Saunders of rural Odin, MN; father, John Tierney of Comfrey, MN; sisters, Christina Tierney of St. James, MN, Sheila (Keith) Kilmer of Madelia, MN and Katie Saunders of Jordan, MN; brothers, Leslie Tierney of New Ulm, MN and Kristoffer Saunders of Truman, MN; grandfather, Donald Diekmann of rural Butterfield, MN; grandmother, Audrey Tierney of Lake Crystal, MN; great-grandmother, Betty Thompson of Algona, IA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Terrance was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorthea Diekmann; grandfather, Joseph Tierney; uncle, David Diekmann and other relatives and friends.
