    Harold Wardrip, 84, departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2009 in Adair, Oklahoma.
    Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Military rites will be conducted by American Veterans Honor Guard of Tulsa. Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.
    Harold James Wardrip was born on December 29, 1924 to Jay H. and Pearl M. (Adamson) Wardrip in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He was raised and attended school in Butterfield, Minnesota.  He later attended Tulsa Junior College and earned an Associates degree in purchasing management. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He had lived in Adair for about the last three years, prior to this he had lived in Tulsa for thirty-five years. He worked as a purchasing agent for Jimmy Jones Welding Supply and prior to that, was the owner / operator of Harold’s Line-Up in St. James, Minnesota. He was a Mason and a member of the Elks Lodge and was also a member of Carbondale Assembly of God Church in Tulsa. He married Doris (Pyle) in 1973.
    Harold enjoyed steam engines, polka dancing and playing the guitar. Harold and his wife enjoyed singing and playing music at several churches in the Tulsa area. Family was an important part of his life and he will be greatly missed.
    Survivors include one son, Jeff Wardrip and wife Pat; three daughters, Alice Peters of Tulsa, OK, Becky Carr and fiancee Tony Stone of Adair, OK and Mona Scott and husband Randy Baker of Tulsa, OK. four grandchildren, Carrie Carr-Kroll, Wendy Terry, Jay Wardrip and Rachel Wardrip; two great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Wardrip and wife Dorothy of Minnesota.
    Harold was preceded in death by his wife; parents and great-grandson, Austin Carr.
