Barry Malott, 50, of Pearland, Texas, formerly of St. James died on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Triumph Health care Center in Webster, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Long Lake Lutheran Church in rural St. James with Reverend Lowell Asplund officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Barry William Malott was born on December 19, 1959 to Elden and Sharon (Siem) Malott in St. James, Minnesota. In 1965 he moved with his family to Little Falls where he grew up and graduated from high school. He married Mary Plante but later divorced. His loss is painful to his family and friends but his life was one that touched all of them with love and a gentle spirit.
Survivors include his three children, Jason Malott of Nacogdoches, TX, Jessica (Jr.) Powell of Beaumont, TX and Matthew Malott of Friendswood, TX; two grandchildren, Andrew and Hailey Powell; parents, Elden and Sharon Malott of St. James, MN; brother, Tim (June) Malott of Stillwater, MN; special friend, Bonnie Marshall of Pearland, TX and numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephew, cousins and his pal Buddy.
Barry was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle Dale.
