    Ima Olson, 82, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Madelia Community Hospital.
    Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia with Pastor Penny Johnson officiating. The organist was Karla Eberhart and the soloist was Kari Wendroth. Casketbearers were Mike Feeney, Gary Johnson, Larry Nelson, Les Todnem, Corey Utsch and Justin Wendroth. Burial was in Albion Lutheran Cemetery.
    Ima Ruby Kolstad was born on February 7, 1928 to Oliver and Clara (Ovre) Kolstad. She grew up near Godahl, attended country school and graduated from St. James High School in 1946.
    In 1947 she married Harold Olson at Albion Lutheran Church. They made their home in Madelia. She loved living across the street from her church, residing in the same house for 60 years. She worked at Mutsch’s Bakery and as a cashier for many years at Hale’s Super Valu in Madelia. She enjoyed her job, especially visiting with customers.
    Ima was active in her church, church circles and her birthday and sewing clubs. She greatly enjoyed making lefse with her family and taking her daily walks.
    Survivors include her six children, Steven (Sally) Olson of Le Sueur, MN, Lance Olson (Gary Johnson) of Edina, MN, Bruce (Betty) Olson of Le Sueur, MN, Kathryn (Larry) Nelson of Ramsey, MN, Scott Olson of Steamboat Springs, CO and Imajeanne (Les) Todnem of St. James, MN; eight grandchildren, Sara Olson, Kari Wendroth, Erin Feeney, Stephanie Henry, Natalie Utsch, Nathan Olson, Kayla Todnem and Tucker Olson and five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Logan and Griffin Feeney, William Wendroth and Baby Utsch.
