    Luis Martinez, Jr., 21, of St. James, died on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in rural Martin County as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
    Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in St. James with Father Luis Vargas officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. James.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
    Luis Alberto Marti­n­ez, Jr. was born on June 3, 1989 in Blythe, California. He graduated from St. James High School in St. James. He enjoyed his role as big brother; playing around with his brothers and sisters and looking out for them. Among his hobbies was weightlifting. Al­ways, happy-go-lucky, he constantly wore a smile on his face.
    Survivors include his mother, Rosalinda Ra­mirez; father, Luis Martinez, Sr; brothers, Johan Martinez and Alejandro Martin­ez; sisters, Linda Martinez and Jennifer Gonzalez; grandparents, Maria C. Rangel and Francisco Rangel all of St. James, MN; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
