    Charles Lind, 67, of North Mankato, Minnesota died unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2009 in Washington D.C.
    Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato with Reverend Joel Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
    Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue for one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
    Charles Richard Lind was born on December 17, 1941 to W. Luverne and Marie (Nelson) Lind in St. James, Minnesota. He was a graduate of St. James High School and Mankato Technical College. He served in the U.S. National Guard. On May 14, 1966 he was united in marriage to Sharon A. Hanson at Kansas Lake Lutheran Church in rural Butterfield. He worked for Midtex and later was employed with EI Microcircuits for over twenty years.
    Charles was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato. He enjoyed record and stamp collecting, working with electronics, photography and spending time with his grandchildren. He was proud that 25 years ago he helped implement the televising of Grace Lutheran services on the local public access station.
    Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lind of North Mankato, MN; son, Timothy Charles Lind of Mankato, MN; daughter, Cindy (Dave) Kelley of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Anna, Mary and Benjamin Kelley; brother, Wilmar (Ellen) Lind of Minot, ND and nieces and nephews.
    Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
