The Saints softball team was 9-11 this season, a five-win improvement from 2014, and their 5-5-conference record was good enough for third place, behind only Pipestone and Jackson, according to Coach Sam Baumgartner.

The St. James Area baseball team ended their season with a 4-0 loss to New Ulm Saturday, so they had their banquet Tuesday night, and Bransen Petersen was named the team’s most valuable player.

On a cold, windy Monday at Interlaken Golf Club, the St. James Area golf team played their conference meet; Sophie Lepp turned in the best score for SJA’s girls, with 106, while Clay Winrich also shot 106 for the boys.

St. James was in their element Friday afternoon, as track and field won 11 events at their home field.With competition split between big and small schools, the St. James boys placed third in the small school group, and the girls were sixth Tuesday.
