When it comes to following professional sports teams, I am as loyal as they come.Born and raised here, I root for the local teams no matter what and throughout whatever may happen.But when the Saints or Pelicans find themselves out of the playoffs, I normally pick one of the remaining teams to pull for to add some excitement to the rest of the postseason.

On a cold, windy Monday at Interlaken Golf Club, the St. James Area golf team played their conference meet; Sophie Lepp turned in the best score for SJA’s girls, with 106, while Clay Winrich also shot 106 for the boys.

St. James was in their element Friday afternoon, as track and field won 11 events at their home field.With competition split between big and small schools, the St. James boys placed third in the small school group, and the girls were sixth Tuesday.
