Jeanette Johnson celebrated her 100th birthday this past Saturday at United Methodist Church in St. James. With such a large gathering, she was greeted by numerous friends and family members in the St. James area. For Johnson, the key to her amazing longevity is her willingness to stay busy. With six children, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, her extensive family provides plenty of activity.
Johnson’s favorite activities include quilting, baking chocolate chip cookies, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. Johnson is affectionately known as the “cookie grandma” amongst her great-grandchildren.
