Friends, family, and community members showed what it means to live in a close knit community on Sunday as over 650 people gathered to the St. James American Legion for a benefit to support Jeff Durheim.
During the benefit attendees gave well wishes to the Durheim family, while also enjoying a Salisbury steak meal. There was also plenty of opportunities for those in attendance to help raise money for medical and other expenses through a silent auction along with a live auction for a pedal pull tractors and homemade ice cream.
After the event Nadeen Durheim,Jeff’s wife thanked everyone who helped out with the event.
“A sincere and huge thank you to all who donated, helped with the auction, and came out to support us. It is unreal seeing how amazing everyone is. Jeff, myself, and the kids are forever grateful.”
While the journey to full recovery for Jeff is likely to be a long one Sunday showed that the support for him and his family is strong.
