On Saturday, St. James area residents filled the 500 block of First Avenue South for the annual Hot Dog Days event.

The rain held off as parents, grandparents and kids alike took to the streets to top their hot dogs with their favorite toppings.

All of the proceeds from each hot dog vendor went to causes of their choosing.

The Relay For Life team, named “Team Incredible”, set up in front of CCF Bank, raised over $400 towards the American Cancer Foundation.

True Value/Verizon Wireless sponsored the Capital Projects Fund, raising almost $700.

Thrivent and the Youth For Christ Studio raised over $200 for the Youth Center and community life relations.

First Lutheran Church and Lutheran World Relief raised over $400 for food, medication and overall support of those in need around the world.

The Watonwan County Humane Society raised over $800 for their shelter.

Hot Dog Days was previously rescheduled from May.
