St. James seniors Kobe Mohwinkel and Jacob Brey were awarded with Big South Conference Honors.

Mohwinkel, the Saints’ ace for the past two seasons, earned Honorable Mention recognition, after logging 48.0 innings of work in 14 appearances, with nine of those being starts. Mohwinkel finished the season at 2-5, allowing 49 hits while fanning 43.

Mohwinkel finished his senior season with a 3.79 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. At the plate, Mohwinkel hit 0.250 out of the leadoff spot.

Mohwinkel displayed great plate discipline, drawing 20 walks in 69 plate appearances.

For Brey, he led the Saints in a host of offensive categories, including RBI (12), doubles (nine), slugging percentage (.576) and OPS (1.040).

Brey also scored 11 runs and hit 0.390. Brey was a strikeout specialist for St. James, striking out 25 in just 20.2 innings. Brey picked up one victory in 12 appearances, making just three starts.
