St. James tennis closes out regular season with victory against Luverne

Last Thursday, the St. James girls tennis team put the finishing touches on an 11-0 regular reason with a 5-2 win against Luverne.

Ellie Becker and Jaelyn Haler remained unbeaten at first and second singles.

The first doubles tandem of Gabriela Trapero and Sailor Mohlenbrock also stayed perfect, topping Lauren Ver Steeg and Solveig Tofteland for the second time on the year.

Also recording wins for the Saints were Eva Romsdahl, and Samantha Tetzloff and Allison Bluedorn at second doubles.

The Saints will play Blue Earth Area in the Big South Conference Championship on October 1st in Blue Earth.

Last year, the Bucs knocked off the host Saints 6-1 in the Big South Championship.
