The Plaindealer:
A weekly newspaper, the St. James Plaindealer, is published every Thursday. The Plaindealer has provided news and ad services to the St. James community since 1891. The publisher, Duane (Doc) Durheim, joined the staff in 1998. The Plaindealer is a member of the Minnesota Newspaper Association and the National Newspaper Association.

Other Minnesota counties - $65.00/yearly
Elsewhere in the United States - $72.00/yearly
Service Members - $57.00/yearly
Student Subscription September-May, Anywhere in the United States - 42.75 for nine months

The St. James Plaindealer welcomes submitted area news.
Wedding announcements (limit of 300 words) with photo if provided - $35.00. Engagement and anniversary announcements - $25.00. Birth announcements - $10.00. Obituary notices - 55.00; with photo - $60.00. Happy Ads - $17.50 Deadline for news items is Monday 4:00 p.m. for Thursday publication.
Letters to the editor are welcome and can be submitted by mail or in person. Letters must be signed and are subject to be edited.
