Local author shares his stories in new book
From growing up in the small southern Minnesota town of Morristown, working at his father’s grocery store and locker plant and attending Mankato State college for is degree in Recreation and Park Administration. And more recently worked in the senior housing field as a VP of Operations. Tom Goeritz , now residing in St. James, has added being an author to his list of accomplishments.

Benefit event for Erika Rodriguez
All are welcome to attend a benefit event on Sunday, May 1 from 11am-2pm at the St. James American Legion hosted by friends of Erika Rodriguez. Erika has lived in St. James for 12 years. She and her husband have 3 children. She is past member of Convivencia-Hispana, an active member of Uniting Cultures, and a volunteer at the Watonwan County Food Shelf.
Shirley Coleman is Library System’s new Director
Having worked at the Watonwan County Library in St. James since before there was Internet, Shirley Coleman has been with the library for decades. During her career she has been able to work her way up to being the Assistant Director of the Watonwan County Library system. in the decades Coleman has been with the library love of her job has not changed and is something that makes what she does for the patrons of the library all the more worth it. Being the point of contact for a lot of people on a daily basis is one of the things that she said she loved.
