The James Gang Fastpitch 10U team played in the Southern Star tournament in Waseca on June 25 and 26 and were undefeated. St. James defeated Waseca 10-0, Mankato Peppers Blue 6-2, Martin County West 15-0, New Ulm 9-4, Mankato Peppers Blue 7-1. Adam Schroeder has moved into the head boys basketball coaching position for St. James Area High School, replacing Spencer Monson who assumed a new position in the Blue Earth Area school district. An assistant for the boys program the past six years, Schroeder also brings head coaching experience with a previous stint at the helm of the SJA girls basketball program.

Siem Construction, at 6-1- 1, continues to lead the St. James Summer Rec League as teams complete the third week of play.

Unfortunately the train stopped on the tracks for 20 minutes, which stopped most of our runners (first 4 were past 2 mile spot before the train came), which then they had to turn around.
