What is an Annual Notice of Change?
Dear Savvy Senior, Last year I received a “notice of change” letter from my Medicare provider. Should I expect another one this year, and what should I do with it? --Medicare Rookie Dear Rookie, The letter you’re asking about is actually referred to as the Annual Notice of Change (or ANOC), which is a letter you receive from your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D prescription drug plan in late September. (People with only a Medigap plan don’t receive these because Medigap plans do not have benefit changes from year to year). So yes, you should expect to receive another letter next month.
Mayo Clinic Health System mobile health clinic to host Immunization and Well Child visits
ST. JAMES – The Mayo Clinic Health System Mobile Health Clinic will offer immunizations and well child visits for kindergarten through 12th-grade children at St. James Public Schools. The mobile health clinic will be at St. James Public Schools, 500 3rd Ave. South in St. James, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. The visits are by appointment only. Safe Routes to School sidewalk under construction
The Safe Routes to School 10th St. N. Sidewalk construction was paused after rain showers on August 19 but a clear path is evident. The goal remains to be completed prior to the first day of classes. This project will greatly enhance safety by providing an off-road sidewalk on a main thoroughfare to and from the high school/middle school and elementary school. Lee Carlson

Tournaments make for busy August week of tennis
Saints before serving his country in the National Guard with several overseas deployments, including Afghanistan. A scholarship has been created to honor Rogers and all who gathered last Saturday came together to support the scholarship with the goal of raising at least $500.
