Saints Push Greyhounds Into Overtime Session Thriller at New Ulm
St. James Area’s strides towards victory ended one step short as New Ulm Cathedral booted the extra point for the final play and a 29-28 win over the Saints. Boosted by a long run, the Saints’ Sonny Heil broke the 200-yard threshold for rushing yards for the first time in nearly two decades.
Comeback For Wings United Falls Short in Rematch With Sibley East
The inaugural soccer match for the St. James Area/Windom Wings United program was a victory over Eastern Central Prairie, the Sibley East soccer team.
Saints Volleyball Battles But Wins Remain Hard to Find
Volleyball matches for the Saints were on the road and each ended 3-0 the wrong way but included mostly tight scores in sets. On Thursday, September 22nd the team returns home for a contest against Fairmont.
United Wings Girls Soccer Action Includes Ups and Downs
Recent matches for the St. James/ Windom girls soccer cooperative involved a strong contest at Tri-City United on September 10th and a tough match-up at Mayer Lutheran on the 13th. Lack of experience, both as individuals and as a team, continues to be a focus for improvement.
Little Theater – Big Changes update
Sunday was the kickoff of the Little Theater Fundraiser for new seating and sound system. At the American Legion Watonwan Room there was a luncheon fundraiser with entertainment provided by community members.
School Board given Little Theater presentation
St. James School Board was given a presentation about the Little Theater, Big Changes fundraiser where individuals can donate and purchase seats with their names on them at the meeting last Monday night. This fundraiser will help with the improvements to the theaters sound and seating.

New ELD and Family and Community Liason for St. James Schools
Silvia and Juan Solorzano have new positions in the St. James School District. Silvia used to be the Family and Community Liaison and is now an ELD teacher. Juan replaced her as the districts Family and Community Liaison.
