2022 Hall of Fame inducts 10 new members
On Saturday night the VFW was full of former and current Saints athletes, coaches, contributors and their families for the 2022 Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year’s inductees were Jared Schwanz, Jerry Spitzner, Roger Nelson, Gary Rettke, Phil Tangen, Anne Branstad, Natalie Runge Oldenburg, Tyler Kaus, as well as Contributor Connie Edgerton and Coach Les Zellmann.

First Win for Saints is 20-0 Homecoming Shutout of Wabasso
A long losing streak came to an end on October 14th behind touchdowns from Alex Stresemann, Hunter Stevens in the 2nd quarter, and Anthony Sletta in the final period. A stingy defense kept Wabasso at bay and St. James Area made big plays, converting well on 4th down to keep drives rolling.

Volleyball’s Final Home Game Gives Fans Plenty to Cheer About
Waseca left St. James with a 3-1 victory on October 17th, Senior Night for the Saints, but every set was a hard-fought battle in front of the home crowd. Taylor Sodeman’s penchant for multi-layered excellence keyed the effort.

Doubles Champs Will Represent St. James Area at State Tournament
Allison Bluedorn and Keyana Haler made good on their #1 seed, claiming the 2022 Section 2A Doubles Championship at Gustavus Adolphus College. In the Singles competition a pair of Saints, Eva Romsdahl and Maya Kulseth, met up in the 3rd place match.

James Area Cross Country
The five teams competing were Blue Earth Area, Fairmont, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial-Nicollet, SJA, and Mt. Lake Area - Comfrey.
