What Veterans Day means
November 11 has been know by various different names depending on your age and who you grew up with. Today it is called Veterans Day, before 1954 it was called Armistice Day. Growing up my grandma would switch between the two names depending on who she was talking with. Now a little research had to be done to figure out what Armistice means. Armistice is a term used for an agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time. Hope someone learned something new reading this.

Family history of service
If consecutive columns about Veterans Day is not your to your liking then this week is going to be a struggle. I am not going to apologize but it only seemed fair to give the warning.
